In Helsinki for a seminar on the Governance of Welfare State in Europe

Yves Bertoncini attends the Working Group meeting on the Governance Aspects of Welfare State in Europe, organized by SITRA in Helsinki on the 15 and 16 June 2015.

The event is organised in the framework of a joint-project which the Jacques Delors Institute carries out together with the Bertelsmann Stiftung, Chatham House, Bruegel, SITRA, La Compagnia di San Paolo and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

This consortium of think tanks gave birth to VISION EUROPE, a collaborative project to address key public policy challenges facing Europe, at both the EU and national level. The focus of the first year will be on the Future of Welfare States and the consortium will come up with three policy papers that analyze the economic, social and governance aspects of welfare states.

The policy briefs will be presented on the occasion of the Vision Europe Summit, which will take place in Berlin, 17 and 18 November 2015.
