On CNEWS : “We have never experienced this political dispersion”

It is a complicated game, for Yves Bertoncini, that the nomination of European “top jobs” is a complicated one. However, the situation is even more complex today because the game is much more open. The President of the European Movement – France explains so far “there were two main political families that dominated the European Parliament, the European People’s Party and the Social Democrats“. However, since the European elections of 26 May 2019, the situation has changed, Yves Bertoncini points out that “it will take at least three political families to achieve a majority in the European Parliament, including that of Emmanuel Macron, the Liberals Democrats and perhaps the Greens in support”.
While on the side of the European Council, the President of the European Movement – France stresses that there is a form of balance: “there are 9 Heads of Conservative States, 8 who are Social Democrats and 7 who are Liberal Democrats, we have never experienced this political dispersion“. This is a good thing, according to Yves Bertoncini, who points out, however, that this pluralism explains the difficulty in reaching an agreement.
