On Europe 1 to comment the “Pantheonisation” of Simone Veil
From 10 a.m. on 1 July 2018, the editorial staff of Europe 1 is mobilised to bring this pantheonisation ceremony to the station’s listeners with a special edition presented by Wendy Bouchard and David Doukhan. In the studio:
- Jacques Fredj, Director of the Shoah Memorial,
- Françoise Picq, historian of feminism,
- Catherine Nay, political editorialist and Grandes Voix d’Europe 1,
- Yves Bertoncini, President of the European Movement – France,
- Jean-Louis Borloo, former minister.
They will accompany this tribute and retrace Simone Veil’s exceptional destiny. A great witness of the Shoah, an icon of the fight for women’s rights, a builder of the European Union, the former minister will be the 5th French woman to enter the monument of “great men”.
