The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration on 9 May 2020 comes in a pandemic context fraught with enormous health, economic, diplomatic and political challenges for the construction of Europe. 70 years after the creation of the European Movement-France (ME-F), its Spring 2020 General Assembly reaffirms the need for a strengthened Union to enable Europeans to better meet such challenges and emerge from the crisis – a Tribune that I am co-signing with many ME-F activists.
