The European ordo-liberalism, foundation of our strategic autonomy

A Tribune highlighting the virtues of European ordo-liberalism for our strategic autonomy at the time of the COVID-19 crisis, on the basis of a threefold observation:
- limiting excessive deficits preserves national budgetary room for manoeuvre;
- the European control of state aid protects us from distorted competition;
- free movement guarantees access to strategic resources.
A short version of this Tribune was published in Le Monde under the title “The usefulness of European limits in terms of public accounts”.
